Priest by Sierra Simone

I am not even sure how to start this review.  I had seen so many conversation and reviews regarding this book that I just had to have it.  It came out in June and I waited patiently until I was ready to read it.

The time has come.  I spent the day yesterday entwined in the romance between Poppy & Father Bell.  I can't tell you that I loved this book, because I personally am not even sure.  I am not religious at all, but if I was I would have been offended by a few of the scenes.

That being said, HOLY SMOKE!  The sex scenes were by far the hottest I have ever read.  Sierra Simone must have one hell of a sex life to come up with this stuff.  I needed a few cold showers just to get through the book.

I was thankful for the HEA after the stunt Poppy pulled.  I may have lost a tear or 2 during a few chapters... shhh (that will be our secret.)

This book will not be for everyone.  Looking at past reviews is no help either.  Read at your own risk, but definitely push yourself to read out of your own boundaries.  This novel pushed my boundaries and I am grateful for that.

Prude by Hilaria Alexander

So last week, I was having a major book hangover. This wonderful story came riding in on it's white steed to save the day.

Prudence is an author of young adult novels and has been reasonably successful.  In walks hot to trot literary agent Ben and he is ohh so hot.

Hilaria hit the ball out of the park with this one.  Ben with his man bun still makes me weak in the knees, lol.  I felt like this story is something that could happen in real life.  I was able to relate to the characters; they are witty, clever, and charming!

If you want a light read that will keep a smile on your face, this is the book to read!

P.S. The author is pretty awesome, too!  :)

Family Tied (Being A Wade Part 1) by Annie Hughes

The Wade family runs the town.  Dylan is put into a tough spot when it comes to love and family.  His cousin Roman has made mistakes that have cost him the trust of the Wade family and especially Rayleigh the love of Dylan’s life.  Rayleigh has been through it all and is has come out of hell a new person tough as nails.

This story is captivating and will pull you in from beginning to end.  Even though it is a short read you will be anxiously anticipating the next book in the series.

Annie Hughes went above and beyond writing this story.  It is one of love and tragedy.  I cannot wait to read then next and find out what is going to happen next.
